The main problem with that is the loss of all the progress I’d made. However, the project has allowed me to grow, and I did set out to do what I intended to do, which was to learn as much as I could about using RM2003. There are many things I can do with RM2000 that I can’t do with 2003, but the problem I have there is with the fact that I can’t find my way around 2000 (the english patch sucks).
More to the point, I feel that the best way to work on the game is to be more simple. Plan more before putting it into effect. The switches and variables I have in the current build are a big mess, and it’s hard for me to find what I’m looking for.
I HAVE been tempted to get RPG Maker XP, but I’m not sure about the level of support I can get, graphics-wise.
Okay, I’ve got a new project ready to go, though I’m keeping the old build for obvious reasons (I won’t put all of the animations to waste).
First I’m going to try doing everything in RM2003 RTP and I’ll improve from there if necessary.
