Heeeey, happy 2016, everybody! I see we all survived Instrumentality.
This was probably the shortest of the subchapters, but it still gave me quite a few problems. Though I suppose I should also mention that since I’ve been working, I’ve had a whole lot less free time to spend on scanlating. That and the rust. You gotta shake off the rust.
I REALLY need to get me that Special Plus issue. I could really use the higher scan quality and hopefully legible margin notes. For the good of Ruin Explorers fans everywhere!
Anyway, no ETA on the next subchapter. I want to say by next month, but no promises. I REALLY want to be done scanlating Ruin Explorers before too long. Ideally, March.
Now, I know you must be wondering what I’ll do once I’m finished scanlating Ruin Explorers. Will I do scanlation work on something else? The answer to that is “maybe.” I only ever want to work on obscure manga that people in the west at least have a chance of hearing about. So no major titles, but nothing too out there. I’m thinking about acquiring the Adventures of Kotetsu manga, mostly out of personal curiosity. But there’s one thing far more important and nearly impossible to undertake, but it’s the one thing I most want to work on: the Ruin Explorers tabletop RPG.
Yes, that’s right. There is a Ruin Explorers tabletop RPG. And chances are it’ll be text-dense. But y’know, what? I can’t think of anything more amazing than tracking a copy down, translating the game, and maybe, just maybe, being able to PLAY it.
