Bardass! chronicles the adventures of Brier the Bard and his familiar, Arco. Brier was formerly the Dark Lord Balken, ruler of the continent of Rym until seven heroes banded together and put an end to his dark reign. Rather than kill him, the Hex Wizard Duvall cursed him into a powerless state. He now wanders Rym as a Bard, searching for a way to remove his curse and become the Dark Lord once more.
